Camera Motion Painting

Date: 11/9/10 Time: 9:45 p.m. Location: Staten Island Fairy New York, NY F-stop: f/4 Shutter Speed: 8.0 sec. Camera: Samsung Techwin

I took this photo out on the Staten Island ferry. I was trying to take a picture of staten island but I couldn't figure out my little point and shoot camera... so I decided to do a painted lights photo! It turned out gorgeous. I increased exposure and contrast and it made the photo even more beautiful!

Night and Lights

Date: 11/9/10 Time: 8:30 p.m. Location: New York, NY F-stop: f/3 Shutter Speed:1/45 sec. Camera: Samsung Techwin

I love how this picture turned out! There were some annoying caution cones in the photo but i cloned them out. In increased the contrast so the lights are really the only thing you can see. Beautiful park in a beautiful city!

Date: 11/9/10 Time: 8:35 p.m. Location: Wall Street New York, NY F-stop: f/4.2 Shutter Speed:1/60 sec. Camera: Samsung Techwin

I changed this photo to black and white and the light from the camera flash is reflecting off the sign. I love how it turned out and the contrast in the photo. I also added more windows to the building behind and removed a glare at the top of the photo.

Date: 11/9/10 Time: 8:05 p.m. Location: Time Square New York, NY F-stop: f/5 Shutter Speed:1/50 sec. Camera: Samsung Techwin

This photo is taken in Time Square. I love the vivid green of the Coca Cola sign. I increased saturation and contrast in the photo also. Thank goodness for bight lights in the city!

Content in her Cup

I like this picture. My mom gave me this mug as a joke cause I never have nothing to do.... So I took a picture of Breanne and made it look like shes in the cup with nothing to do enjoying her happy thoughts.

Painted Sky
Date: 11/1/10 Time: 4:20 p.m. Location: Rexburg, ID F-stop: f/20 Shutter Speed:1/200 sec. Camera: Cannon Rebel T2i

I was having a really hard time coming up with ideas for doing a staged photolusion. I went online and was looking for ideas when it showed someone drawing something in the sky with a pen. I rummaged around my room and found a brush... and white paint.... Painting clouds! I think it looks pretty good but I wish I could get the camera to focus on the sky and my hand at the same time.

Photo Journal

The Sky is Falling

For this photo I increased contrast and decreased saturation slightly. It really brought out the rustic iron feel of the clock.
Shadowed
Date: 10/26/10 Time: 3:26 p.m. Location: Rexburg, ID F-stop: f/5.6 Shutter Speed:1/20 sec. Camera: Cannon Rebel T2i
I edited this photo in camera. I made the foreground more silhouetted and brought out the colors in the sky.

For my photo pages I wanted to keep it really simple. For each page I pick a coordinating color for the side title bar. To insert each picture I placed the photo layer on top of the correct black box and created a clipping mask.
